Town centre pub relying on wet sales. The pub has been there for at least 150 years, mentioned in a list of inns from 1858. In years gone by beer was brewed on site using water from a well situated behind The Eagles(now closed). Fairly quiet during the week it livens up at weekends when the regular Karaoke sessions are held. Please note that real ale is not always available.
